Inscrutable user interface

I thought they might fix the obvious problems with this application, but after several years with the 3.x design it’s clear that they’re probably not going to. Lots of incredibly confusing user user interface problems here: from the search, which only very subtly highlights results (instead of filtering them); to marking a loaned book returned, which I simply cannot figure out. On top of that, the application almost always crashses after just a few operations.
