Delicious Library 3 App Reviews

Awesome!

Never thought it would be so easy to have my books, cds, dvds, blu rays, and so many other stuff catalogued so I can keep track of them! Loved this app!

For the anal retentive organizer in all of us

I love this! I can input almost everything I own in it and organize it on the shelves. LOVE IT!

Sometimes annoying but excellent

If you have training in library science, Delicious Library 3 will frequently annoy you by trying to include way, way more information than you might ever want to know about a given item. The application can scan a number of online sources for titles, authors, cover art, ISBN numbers, Dewey Decimal and Library of Congress numbers, online reviews, and other “stuff.” One result is that you often get book covers that don’t match the book you hold in your hand, or synopses that clearly were written by someonel who never heard of the book, or only read the blurb on the cover. Yet for all of that — Delicious Library 3 works. And works very, very well.

Lousy Name — Terrific App

Just what I wanted and needed, absolutely the best money I’ve spent on an app in ages. Acknowleding some of the caveats other reviewers have mentioned, the only way it could be better is if it worked EXACTLY the way my mind works — and that’s asking too much. You’ll want to edit most of your listings, but you CAN and that’s why the caveats don’t amount to much. If you take the time to work with the app, the app will be everything you need and want. It’s not much good for a comics collection — I had to buy another app for that — but for books, DVDs and music it’s just perfect. I use it every day and love it. Just wish they’d change the stupid name!!!!

A unique and wonderful application

As far as I’ve seen, there’s nothing out there that functions like this app for easily cataloging books. When i’ve had to store boxes of books, for moving or other reasons, I’m able to create a shelf for each box, which is like a playlist. I can label the boxes the same name as each ‘shelf’ in the app, and am able to see at a glance what is in each box, in visual bookshelf-llke format. Really great for fiinding specific titles that are tucked away. Works great for dvd’s and games as well; pulls data from amazon so you can autopopulate titles without having to enter anything manually; Scan the bar code and it will just put it in there in seconds. Love it, thanks guys.

Serious issues with latest version

Ok, I’m getting really upset/angry. After loading the new version, most of my coverart vanished, the retail price will not populate, and the LOC is blank. More unusual still, it looks nothing like the pictures above!. no row of icons at the bottom to start with. Lastly, the update dropped a number of my cataloged books. I now have the option of sifting through my 1,500 hardcopy collection to see which 300 books are missing, or just leaving it alone because like most people I have a job, family, and no time for this. Sent request for help to DL. The forums are drawing a blank on these issues. If I don’t hear back soon I’m switching to something else. This is sad, since DL was such a reliable program that populated the fields with no extra effort from the user.

Great app

This is a great app. I have used it since version 1. I love that it pulls info directly from the web to sill out what a book is worth, or enters the data for me from ithe ISBN number. Cool app.

great filing

Paired with the Iphone bar code scanner app and everything is working great. Using it to catalog all my physical books, not sure yet whether I can add all my ebooks to the shelves or not. Will move out to the shop next and input all the tools

Great App!

Fantastic app! Helps me keep track of my books and other media in terms of where they’re stored and if theyre on loan to friends.

DL2 was better

I used DL2 for a long time and loved it! DL3 was released so I "upgraded". There are many changes in DL3 that hinder it’s usefulness. If you have never used DL3 it will probally work great for you. If you are a current DL2 user I would not recomend the “update”.

Amazing program

I have been searching this kind of archive software forever and with the new macbook touchbar together you know when you start testing it and you will probably only stop when all your stuff is safely in.

genial

j’utilise votre application depuis longtemps j’adore (jattend juste la mise à jour via app store pourcoriger le bug d’afficahge sur el capitan …..) merci !!!!! really good soft i use it everyday since long time ago (just waiting for your upddate for the display bugs on el capitan via app store … apple’s guy, lease … why is it taking so long ??? ) thank you so much for your work !!!!

Great!

It is a great app! To be perfect needs sync functionality (iCloud/Dropbox/Onedrive). And also the database link to the Amazon Brazil. Some brazilian books do not show up automatically.

Like it !

Great app! Especially the iOS-Scanner is gorgeous :) Of course there is still something to update to make it even better: Space for the original title in the original language of books, as well as the chance to fix the information-window. Would really love to have the possibility to sync my library with other Macs and iOS devices running Delicious Library over iCloud !!! (which would require an iOS app).

Great job

big improvement compared with previous versions. Well done!

A+ App, Useful but...

Pretty useful App, but I badly miss an offline Version for my IPhone especially when I am at the lea market or in the mall… When you got a big library of Music & Blu-Rays its hard to have everything in mind. Fix that and you will get 5 Stars!

Still not cloud synchronization?

This is a nice piece of software… but when will the developer finally add a synchronization mechanism...?

Scanning is so easy now.

Finally, I can walk around the house and scan things in with my phone! Kinda wanted this feature since I first bought Delicious Library v2 back in the day. Now I can easily keep track of all my items. Brilliant!

Still cool after all these years

A good upgrade from the previous version. Generally impressed with the new features, with the iOS scanning app being a highlight (although it tends to double-scan an item too frequently). The "graph" views are certainly an interesting way to look at the data inside the library, although for me the "value" graphs are less important than things like directors, actors, etc. Still missing is a simple way to access the library contents on iOS devices from remote locations (the publishing feature is a solution, but not a good one). The only other nitpick is scrolling speed in list view; a little too laggy but not a showstopper. All in all, a good app for managing my Blu-ray collection.

So much to take inventory

I am finding myself going around the house scanning everything in sight. Its been a great tool for keeping track of all the "entertainment" we have in our home.
