This is one of the best, easiest apps for putting your personal library into a database!! I highly recommend it! I’ve been using it now for over 5 years and it does exactly what it is supposed to do!

Keeping track of books and other media with this software is a breeze, especially if you use the iOS scanner app. The one downside is not having the most basic inventory available on your mobile device. If you want to use this to avoid duplicates in your library, for example, you won’t be able to simply open even a read-only listing; you’ll need to manually export (and keep that export updated!) your library and manually transfer that document to you phone. Lame.
The latest releawe is quite disappointing. Bar code scanning has becoem very unreliable - it works less than half the time. And it fails to recognize a good number of recently released movies and many paperback books. When I contacted Delicious support, they said that Amazon was blocking the look up of some new products. My biggest gripe is that there is still no mobile version. I want to keep the master inventory on my Mac and sync to my iPhone for mobile reference. The mobile version that they offer is useless for me.
I was a hold-out with old 2.x version of the software and bit the bullet and upgraded. Glad I did! The product has matured a great deal. I love the filtering for specific shelves. The automatic shelves are useful. What I find especially useful and productive is the pairing of your iPhone with the app on the computer. One can scan to one’s heart’s delight “offline” and then later on connect with the main library. This makes for a much more efficient method cataloging your stuff. And, if you happen have a duplicate scan, the software flags it. I haven’t gotten into the loaning functions or publishing the library, so cannot rate those. But what I do use, I really like. I’m running El Capitan 10.11.4 and have not encountered issues. One thing that’s cool, but I avoid, is the voice recognition stuff. I just find it a resource hog.
Delicious Library is overpriced and useless. It cannot locate the correct information for any item other than books. Its pictures are all different sizes, making the “shelf” bulky and ugly. It does not work for sewing patterns. It does not work for purses/shoes. It is not a good cataloging software for anything other than books, and frankly, it does not even do that well. It has a useless app for the iphone which simply has a scanner. There’s no way to view your items remotely, aside from exporting the file to something nothing else can read. I wish I had not spent the money and had joined the free site collectorz.
